Gullit rolls into La Galaxy
The Dutch master has rolled into Tinseltown and boy has he brought a wealth of experience along… maybe now we’ll actually see the Galaxy play some football.

If Beckham is the the MLS’s highest-profile player, arguably Dutchman Gullit, who was European Footballer of the Year in 1987, is set to become the league’s highest-profile manager.

Ruud has kept a fairly low profile since quitting Feyenoord as manager in 2005, so now that he’s back to being a manager again, his every move will be scrutinized… and I for one will be there to do my part! Quite simply, I can’t give him an ounce of credit till he grows back those dreadies and moustache like the good ‘ol days!
In all fairness though, exciting times await the MLS and the LA Galaxy and I’ll be interested to see who else he recruits to help strengthen the squad. At least he won’t have any trouble filling ‘vacancies’; at the moment there’s a plethora of under achieving socialites floating around Hollywood. If I were head coach, I’d take Kim Kardashian and position her in the back line… again and again.

Ruud Gullit: Then and now
Then and now shots… it’s those chunky locks that got me from day one!
