F-ugly: Scott Chiperfields receding hairline and borderline chimp-like cranium... just shave it off like Breschiano
Oh the inhumanity of it all… it was dastardly, hideous, ugly… f-ugly even! No I’m not referring to Scott Chipperfield’s receding hairline and borderline chimp-like cranium… I’m actually referring to the uncoordinated game the Socceroos played tonight against a much more organised opponent in Japan. Here’s what coach Pim had to say:

It is nice to see with basically no preparation that defensively we did very well.
“We couldn’t hold the ball, especially the last 15 or 20 minutes, we lost the ball a little bit easily and that is why we came under pressure… but I think 0-0 away to Japan is a great result.”

Ok so it was a poor showing, but on the up side for the Australian, they snuck a point, kept another clean sheet (that’s 534min without conceding… look out Van Der Sar!) and are still top of their group. On the down side, Pim is still playing Brett Holman who time and time again continues to disappoint. Seriously, this dude has to go… or even better, sub him on, drag him after 5 minutes… sub him back on and drag him again! I’m not speaking through experience here, but I’m pretty sure that’ll ensure he doesn’t want to come back again, even if he does get another call up… you should do it some time Pim, I’m 100% positive it’ll be a liberating experience!
