So I’ve delayed this for as long as humanly possible and the time has come for me to head down to the pub and start doing my pre-match warm up. However, after much deliberation and much analysis, I’ve come to several conclusions that I feel will determine the outcome of this match.
My biggest concern for the Spaniards will be their makeshift defense and their potential inability to deal with United’s strength during set pieces and on the break. On the flip side, I feel that time and time again Barca’s attack will be cut out at the final hurdle by an experienced and organised United defense and it is on this basis that I’ve made my ultimate prediction. Like it or love it, I’d rather see Barca break United’s strangle hold of Europe, but I just don’t think it’s going to happen tonight, so without further ado and for the last time this UCL season…
