Barcelona 3 v 0 Atletico Bilbao

Barca continued last years scintillating form by completely wiping the floor with Atletico Bilbao in the Spanish Supercup final last night. It was like a training drill in front of 80,000 fans as the players lined up to have a crack at the Bilbao goal. A week out from the start of the La Liga [...]

A day at Totally Football

As if the internet wasn’t a big enough platform to talk shit on, over the weekend I was invited on to Radio2′s Totally Football to hang out and talk more shit with resident football guru Sparky. Among doing so, I’d also wanted to use the opportunity to learn more about the English game as a [...]

Manchester City 1 v 0 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Till they start ripping teams apart like Arsenal, Tottenham and United… I’m sticking to the claim that City are still a bunch of arrogant, overpaid chumps and this display only proves it! Adebayor has been looking menacing so far, but he (and everybody else in the squad), missed a host of opportunities all afternoon and [...]

Wigan Athletic 0 v 5 Manchester United

It’s very rare that United lose two in a row, so one could imaging just how well the day panned out for an unexpecting Wigan side when United rolled up at the DW Stadium yesterday afternoon. For those not really interested in highlights, Rooney got his 100th and 101st goals for United, Berba and Owen [...]

Arsenal 4 v 1 Portsmouth

At the moment Arsenal are frikin unstoppable! Dominating play and scoring a sack full of goals too… and the scary thing is that their strikers haven’t even started hitting the target yet! Most their goals since the start of the season have come from unlikely sources, namely William Gallas, who again managed to score a [...]

Results that caught everyone by surprise... even Defoe!

It’s hard to read into results so early into the season… I mean, Chelsea went down to an early goal (again) and then rallied to pull three back, United lost surprisingly to new boys Burnley, Liverpool got their first points of the season, but most impressively Tottenham (mainly Defoe) taught Hull a goal scoring lesson [...]

Burnley 1 v 0 Manchester United

The other day when I predicted the mid week scores, I didn’t think for one moment that I’d be writing about United losing so soon in the campaign. This morning however, I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard that the Red Devils had been beaten by new boys Burnley, so I could only imagine [...]

Liverpool 4 v 0 Stoke

When Gerrard and Torres fire, Liverpool are generally unstoppable, but last night saw them welcome a new flame and recruit to Anfield… Glen Johnson. With one goal and one assist, at the moment he is the Premier League’s best right back and in purely statistical terms that makes him more efficient than the whole of [...]

Celtic 0 v 2 Arsenal

It was always going to be a tough match for Celtic to win, but a draw was always a very real possibility; real enough till William Gallas came running across the face of goal and was struck by an on coming Fabregas free-kick… oh and then the own goal scored by Celtic defender Gary Caldwell [...]

Arsenal’s form at the moment scintillating! Their training kits however… what were they thinking?! Don’t let that deter you though, this should be some match! Celtic Park can be a tricky place to conquer and the Hoops will put up a heap of resistance. I don’t see the Gunner’s pulling a Merseyside type drubbing over them tonight and the Londoners will definitely have their work cut out for them.

Love mid week action!

I’m slowly sorting through the problems on the site and will be bringing you a full review of the main matches from this round… not much else to report so early on, apart from I don’t think there’ll be too many upsets tonight so here’s how I’ve picked’em:

It’s been a crazy pre-season and we’re only days away from the launch of the new Premier League season. I was hoping to have had a new version of the site up today, but it’s proving to be a bigger bitch that Arjen Robben when you don’t pass the ball to him. Anyway, I’ve swapped [...]

Out of obscurity, into your PC!

It’s been a hellish few weeks and the process of rearranging this new site setup has been about as painful as Real Madrid’s attempts at trying to land Franck Ribery… only I eventually made some progress, kind of! (Still can’t get these pages to load properly! All wordpress help welcomed!… please
I hope you like the new site changes, there’s plenty more to come and lots of bug fixes too.

We’re only an hour or so away from the first match of A-League ver. 5 and already it’s promising to be a cracker of a year! Two new teams in Gold Coast United and North Queensland Fury, new and “unique” kit designs, a host of new faces from local and abroad, ex-socceroos and marquee talent the [...]

LA Galaxy 1 v 2 Barcelona

David Beckham hasn’t been on here in a while, so it’s time to all change that. Especially since he has the greatest free-kick in the known galaxy (no pun intended). Seriously, hat’s off to this guy cause he is a true professional and just makes everything look so damn good (especially the rest of his [...]
