To be honest I got a little nervous seeing Lionel Messi standing inconspicuously in a favela in Brazil, I mean that kind of behavior could land you in trouble… especially if you’re an Argentine who single-handedly has the ability to crash on Brazil’s parade this summer.
Anyway, like all good things in Marketing Land, this video has a happy ending and Leo is joined in the celebrations by compatriot Sergio Aguero and counterparts David Luiz, Sergio Ramos, Jack Wilshere and a bouncy Robin van Persie to a fresh take on David Bowie’s iconic tune ‘Heroes’ as performed by Janelle Monáe. Funny enough though, the ad culminates in the place it kicks off, now filled with Brazilians rejoicing and singing… in English!
