My heart says Ghana will take this out (you see a win will lull them into a false sense of security for the World Cup, making Australia the underdogs, just what they want and will in turn give them a chance at, wait for it… world domination! I’m the eternal optimist), but my head screams “How can you look past Egypt’s form and history in this tournament!”… so I predict the Pharaohs to edge out the Black Stars, but only just.

I predict:
Ghana 0 v 1 Egypt

I’ve been avoiding the African’s Cup of Nations this year like a bushman would a fallen Coke bottle and I promise it’s got nothing to do with all the weird hairdo’s kicking about the tournament or the fact that every player in a tight Puma top scares the bejesus out of me. Quite simply I just haven’t been able to get my mojo on watching the ACN… reckon there’s a pill I could take for it, or anything to get me stacked like some of the players for that matter?

And as if Ivory Coast’s untimely defeat wasn’t enough, last night another African powerhouse, Cameroon fell prematurely too… damn, I don’t even think a pill will help me now!

There’s only one thing I love more than semi-misleading titles that attract astonished fans of 70′s rock music to my site… and that’s the bewilderment those same visitors must feel once actually realising that the title has no relation to anything a reformed middle aged American mechanic would remotely be interested in anyway.
In football related news, I was contemplating boycotting the African Cup of Nations currently being held in Angola, but for the fear of being hunted down and shot at, I decided to go against a boycott and in return will be posting mostly about matches of interest, or as in this case extraordinary ones!
Losing 4-0 with a mere 16min on the clock, the Eagles of Mali staged THE comeback of the new century by utterly pissing on the Angolan parade who thought this game was as good as theirs… all I could do was giggle in content knowing somewhere down the line, Karma was having it’s way with the Angolans.

Joy, heartbreak and the opening ceremony:
