It’s been a while since I commented on anything Serie A related… yes even Beckams return. Anyway, look out cause Ronaldinho’s back and looking the goods just in time for the World Cup! Seriously, I think I just peed my pants. Hey don’t judge me punk, mum says it happens to the best of us!

Hey Galaxy, screw you!

I’ve held off from writing about the David Beckham loan extension deal with Milan for a little while, mainly cause my site was turning into a 24hr DB watch, yikes! So today the deal finally went through and with his Galaxy contract issues resolved, this is what a very relieved Beck’s had to say:

I always wanted to stay here and everyone knew that,” he stated. “There were plenty of sacrifices on my part but also from [parent club Los Angeles] Galaxy and Milan. Galaxy have been excellent as have Milan…
“It’s nice to have stayed and I am happy. People always talk about the money I have earned in my career but, for me, it has always been about the football and I hope I have displayed that”…
“I stayed because I am playing at one of the greatest clubs in the world, and, of course, to play in World Cup 2010.”

One of the last times I mentioned this topic, I stated that he would probably screw over LA Galaxy and give in to the temptation of ~~cheating~~ playing for a far superior team against far superior opposition and be rewarded with a continued stint at his national team career… and once again I was right. But I don’t want to sound all conceited cause there’s a simple way which anyone could have worked this out… Remember Rebecca Loos? Hey David, once a cheat, always a cheat… isn’t that what they say?

Anyway, all will be forgiven when ‘Golden Balls’ returns to Los Angeles to help complete the second half of the Galaxy’s 2009 Major League Soccer campaign and focus on his Soccer academies.

Meanwhile, overnight Beck’s was on hand to help Pipo Inzaghi score a hat-trick and Milan destroy Atalanta 3-0, but it go me thinking…
1. Where’s Ronaldinho been? I don’t think he is injured and
2. Were Pipo’s celebrations somewhat subdued? If so, I think I might be responsible for that! Cheers Pipo you good for nothing rotating clown’s head… see you at the next school fair!

Football is such a funny game… but it just get’s down right weird when it’s being played on the biggest stage in Italy and I for one just don’t understand it! One minute a manager can reprimanded his out of sorts striker because of his vicarious lifestyle and the next they’re hugging on the touch line after the striker used his hand to score a goal! Huh!? I would have been less confused about this situation if dancing dogs had taken the field wearing tutu’s while balancing beach balls on their noses… at the very least I would have thought Adriano was turning the San Siro into a freaky nightclub!

Geez, it’s that time already? It only feels like yesterday when AC were punishing an underwhelmingly average Inter side and Ronaldinho was pounding the ball into the back of the net. So what has changed since then?… well going by the image I dug up… ALOT! Gattuso has had re-constructive knee surgery ruling him out for months, Quesresma is now at warming the bench at Chelsea and ‘Golden Balls’ is desperately trying to extend his stay at the Rossoneri by declaring his undying love for the club and team… oh, how romantic he waited for a day after Valentines day to do it!

AC Milan’s ever improving form continued overnight and again Beckham and Kaka were pivotal to the teams success. Beckham’s two assists put Pato and Ambrosini on the score sheet and then some brilliant inter-play between Seedorf and Kaka cut right through the heart of Lazio’s defense only for the Brazilian, wearing his new Adidas Adi-Pure boots to calmly slot past the advancing Lazio keeper… Pure-class!

So I’ve realised that the blog has become a bit of a Beckham watch lately… every move he makes, every goal he scores… what can I say, I’m curious to know if he’s going to screw over LA Galaxy and stay with Milan, where he’s obviously thriving or if he’s going to succumb to the pressures of the contract he signed. Plus, I’m a sucker for PR and a good hairstyle… although that “beard” he is growing is looking a little sus! Just like your deteriorating career in the States, you should let it go man!

With little under a week since the dramas of the Manchester City saga unfolded, Kaka seems to have resumed his life and his football as per normal. And what better way to do so than by scoring two goals and helping your team to a much deserved win. Whether a rumoured moved to Madrid is in the cards for the future, only God knows, for the moment though one can only comment on what one can see… and so far me looky and me likey!
Oh and not to be outdone by all the press, and in true Hollywood fashion of course, David Bekham was able to get on the score sheet aswell… I know, I didn’t believe it either! With what initially looked like it’d be a cross, ‘Golden Balls’ managed to trick the defender, the keeper and possibly even himself and land the ball in the back of the net… the expression on his face when he’d scored: Priceless!

It would have gone down in the record books as the ‘richest deal in the history of sport’, instead it’ll go down as ‘the day football kept its soul’. Thank Christ, no thank Milan, no thank Kaka… heck I don’t know, thank somebody for this deal not happening! I’m just glad the messy and highly scrutinised saga has finally come to an end and that in a sense, justice has prevailed. Seriously, Sheik’s have no business in football and they should stick to what they know… arrogance, tacky over the top lifestyles and building shite developments in the Middle East! Kudos to Kaka for following his heart and not the supposed gold at the end of the rainbow!… he’ll now be able to enjoy the rest of his playing days the way he wants… forza Kaka!

Forget this as the return of Gilardino to play against Milan or as the first match for Beckham at the San Siro or even as another winning goal for youngster Pato. No this match had a more sinister plot and one that may destroy football for the near future. For those living in a cave for the past few months, I refer to the Kaka – Manchester City saga, in which copious amounts of spondoolas have been thrown at Milan for the services of former World Player of the Year, Kaka.
Ok so he may not be happy at Milan at the moment, but what exactly will he achieve at Manchester City if he goes!?
What, the opportunity to play alongside fellow Brazilians Robinho, Elano and Jô?… please! I’d take the playing roster at AC anyday. If City are lucky enough they “might” make the UEFA Cup next year.
Fame and riches? … been there, got that!
Anxiety and depression? … you bettcha! If Kaka ~~leaves~~ is forced to move to Manchester, consider him dead and buried and along with it my respect for any conglomerate calling the shots in a club’s transfer matters… and yes I point my finger at you too Mr. Abramovich!

Review – Roma 2 v 2 AC Milan

Ok so I didn’t imagine Beck’s playing in this match at all, let alone for as long as he did (89 minuti), none the less it was end to end action as expected and I even managed to pick the score as well. Yay me! I particularly liked Pato’s second goal, in which the execution looked so effortless that it made Roma keeper Doni and defender Mexes look like a pair of second rate boobs hanging out on some old lady’s chest… while one looked a little bent out of shape, the other had dropped to the knees a lot sooner than expected. Ew!

Both teams will go into this match without key players, most notably Roma are without talismanic captain Francesco Totti and Milan without work horse Rino Gattuso. Also both teams will be looking to close the gap on leaders Inter, who fumbled overnight to lowly Cagliari. This should be a very competitive match, although going off the enthusiasm shown last week by Milan when they took on Hamburg in Dubai, Roma should win this match 60-0!
Haha, nah if Kaka is fit again he’ll reclaim the midfield with Pirlo and Ronaldinho and there will be more stability in Milan’s movements going forward. I don’t think ‘Golden Balls’ will make an appearance though, mainly cause from what I saw last week he still needs a lot of work to gel with the team. Should be a good game.

Males of ~~Milan~~ Italy, lock up your wives / girlfriends / mistresses, there’s is a new boy in town… oh and while you’re at it get yourselves a makeover cause this dude make’s even your women look ugly! Money’s probably got a part to play in it but seriously this guy looks great every time he steps out of the house and yes, even on to the football field! I don’t know, maybe it’s the feminine side of me that he appeals to or maybe it’s that I look at him and think “Imagine how much pussy I’d get if I looked / dressed like that”, I can’t pinpoint it down to one specific thing, all I know is that it’s a charm that seems to work across so many levels and it sure as hell has AC Milan rubbing their hands together at the thought of him representing their team… but then again why wouldn’t they, they just got ‘em on a set of ‘Golden Balls’.
The PR machine that is Beckham steamrolls into Dubai on January 6th with the rest of the Milan crew for a “winter camp” and no doubt the team will be a hit all round. Photo ops with the sheiks, selling jerseys to the masses, making women gush left right and center… ah it’s a tough life. Anyway, I’ll be interested to see how well Becks plays throughout his loan time at Milan, cause if he’s a failure there’s no doubt that he’ll be cursed forever by the firey Italian media… Grazie Milano!

Derby della Madonnina

It was a fiery encounter which saw Inter lose its first match of the season and Milan get back to winning ways. We also saw Kaka, Ronnie and Pato link up on several occasions and most notably for the goal… and what a way to score your first goal mind you! Anyway, I especially liked the way the Milan forwards turned Inter’s defense inside-out on the counter, oh and the part when Carlo Ancelotti goes to shake Jose Mourinho’s hand after the match, but “The Special one” doesn’t want a bar of it… special!
