Thanks to the lackadaisical nature of one Nicklas Bendtner and his quintuplet of missed chances around the 6yrd box, once again Arsenal made things a little difficult for themselves against visiting Burnley yesterday. Where they should have put this match beyond The Clarets’ grasp, they painstakingly kept it within reach and in doing so gave themselves and their fans a few scares along the way. It wasn’t till man of the match Theo Walcott (yes the same Theo Walcott that strolled around confused for England mid week) stepped up and converted a chance instead of trying to tee it up on a platter for that shmuck Bendtner, that some of the tension eased and then late on Arshavin added the killer “f**k off” with a drive into the near post to seal all three points.
The Gunners back in the title race!

Arsene Wenger’s juniors have kicked the shit out of grown men before [here] so I expected nothing less of them when a half strung Liverpool showed up at the Emirates last night. Sure I would have put my money on the Reds if this was a bare knuckle boxing death match, but eh, it was merely a Carling Cup match.
And yes, I know I’m late to this [as has been the case lately], but so is that waitresses’ period at the bagel shop I’ve been writing my blog from… so excuse me if I’ve got bigger things to worry about, man. Shit why does everything have to be about you anyway?!

I’ve hastily been scouring the internet over the last week or so, for images of all the players that were wearing Nike’s latest creations, the Mercurial Vapor Superfly’s and surprisingly like a police investigation at Tony Soprano’s house, the more I dug, the more I seem to find!

A deflected Nick Barmby volley, a Nicklas Bendtner fresh air-shot, RVP’s emphatic equaliser, a controversial match winning header by William Gallas (although the keeper did get the last touch) and an alleged ‘mystery loogie’ by Cesc Fabregas aimed at Hull assistant manager Brian Horton… wow, close your eyes and this could almost pass as a Premier League match covered up as an FA Cup fixture… FA Cup matches are never this interesting are they!?

Finally, Arsenal won a league match at the Emirates, finally they started to show glimpses of the lethal attacking team they are and finally Arshavin got on the scoresheet… but all that hard work was undone by the bitch face he pulled when running off! Seriously what’s he doing? Is he imitating a cow? Or perhaps the Spanish men’s Olympic basketball team before going to Beijing ’08?
And as if that wasn’t enough, once again Nicklas Bendtner did just about everything to convince the fans that he is currently the worst striker in front of open goals… even worse than this guy! I don’t know if his new boots had anything to do with his wayward shooting?… maybe he should have followed in Arshavin’s footsteps and changed them at half time.

Oh it hideous! Somebody kill it!
Maybe looking like you’ve just walked out of Chernobyl is the “in thing” when celebrating a goal in Russia… or maybe it just can’t be helped?
