Speaking of which, with only a year before the WC, the Azzurri are in need of a massive clean out and I’m suggesting that they start with that hideous new jersey of theirs, then some of their senior citizens… yep, Mr.Lippi really does have his work cut out… oh what a mess!

The Manchester derby takes place at Eastlands today and I for one can’t wait to see Robinho’s Sky Blues test their might against the Ronaldo’s Red Devils, in what should be an enthralling match. City did the double over United last season and if the two team’s form over the last fortnight is anything to go by, it’d almost be safe to say that City will come away from this one with all three points. United’s last two matches have ended as scoreless draws and prior to that was a 5-0 demolition of Stoke. City on the other hand drew against Hull then went on to stick 3 past Arsenal and 2 away to Schalke mid week, so they’re definitely wearing their scoring boots at the moment. I’d normally come out and say that Man City could pinch this, but Sir Ferg is a master tactician when chips are down , as he proved against Chelsea earlier this season, so you can’t write United off just yet. A tough match, a great atmosphere and some big points up for grabs…

I predict:
Manchester City 2 v 2 Manchester United

There were many skeptics when he made the switch from the ‘Merengues’, I myself was one of them, but Robinhood looks to be settling and is putting his wads of money where his feet are. With 6 goals in as many matches he’s in fine form, so here’s a look at his hat-trick against Stoke City at the weekend. And for those keeping count City’s unbeaten streak is now at a season high 2!

Either Mark Hughes learnt how to coach over night or there’s some hefty <del>powders</del> bonuses being thrown around the kit rooms before the match… how else would you justify talk of bringing Ronaldo to City, anyway whatever it is, I’m defiantly keeping track of how long this run will last.
This is week 1!

It was like stealing from the rich to give to the… erm… rich and in the world of Chelsea an offense punishable by severe ass kicking… but never the less one hellofa way to announce his arrival in England! So it was also a pity that from that point on, City were pumbled into submission and were made to look average all over the park… major reinforcements will be required in January but till then this will prove that money can’t buy you everything.

Talk about coming out of the woodwork!
Only yesterday I read a report that Manchester City were being bought out by Abu Dhabi United Company for Development and Investment but apparently it was a deal that had been in the works for about 3 weeks. Then news broke that City were in the race to pip United for Berba’s signature… awesome, I always love rivalries. This morning I awoke to the news that City had come in over the top of Chelsea for a crack at Robinho… and got him! Double awesome! And shit was Mark Hughes ecstatic!

I have said that in order to compete with the best teams in the Premier League we have to be in the market for players of this calibre, and Robinho is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world.

“I am really looking forward to introducing him to the rest of the squad, and to the City fans at the earliest opportunity. This is a real statement of intent as to the ambitions of Manchester City Football Club.”

Ok, if you’ve been to Dubai you would have been impressed and almost dumbfounded by the way money is spent on useless developments around the place. Well prepare to slap yourself multiple times over when I tell you Abu Dhabi, as an investment hotspot, is seeing at least three times the amount of money and development… so just quietly, I think Manchester City are in safe hands and in a couple of years may be like another Chelsea. Regarding the purchase of Robinho… hmm, I’m a little suss. It’s great for the Prem. League, but in a footballing sense maybe not so great for Robinho… no Champions League this year, the physicality of the league may work against him and he has a mediocre squad to blend with till the Jan transfer window. He may have been in tears at the thought of remaining a Real player… but at City he’ll be crying tears of pain… while laughing all the way to the bank!
Truly an interesting move and I’ll be keeping an eye on his progress for sure.

Robinho and C.Ronaldo step-over video… haha, sounds like a aerobics workout!

There’s nothing better than starting the month off with transfer speculations… and well in this case confirmations too. The news broke yesterday morning that Deco would be joining fellow compatriot and former Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari to Stamford Bridge.

I am sure I have come at the right time to do great things and be able to help Chelsea go back to the way it was and come back to being the first one, not only in England but also to win the Champions League that has been their dream for so long.”

And then I came across this article that hinted Robinho might be on his way there too.

New coach Scolari sees Robinho as an important piece in his new plans & has solicited the player personally to Chelsea owner Abramovich.

Wow, nothing wreaks more of desperation than Chelski owner Roman Abramovich. His desire to win the Champions League must be at an all time psychotic high and again, just as he’s did 2-3 years ago, he will spare no expense to see his team do it. Deco’s statement was testament to that. “…also to win the Champions League that has been their dream for so long”.
Gee, you could almost imagine Abramovich sleeping at night in his blue and white branded flannel pyjamas, John Terry knee high socks rolled up over the pants and mock Champions League trophey pillow under his arm whilst sucking his own thumb. Good luck Chelski cause by the looks of the transfer market so far, this season is shaping up to be a doesy!
