Clash of the titans

Godzilla(Wenger) v King Kong(Ferguson), Arsenal v Manchester United
King Kong vs Godzilla, Ali vs Foreman, Agassi vs. Sampras… Gunners vs. Red Devils!
Like all good rivalries, this top of the table clash promises the making of a grand occasion and I have no doubt it'll live up to all the expectations. Both teams are in great form at the moment and seem to be scoring at free will; last count had Arsenal at 13-4 and Manchester at 16-4 for the last four games across all competitions so it’ll be interesting to see whose defense can hold out the longest.

Everything is coming together, as I thought it would, and in good time to take on Arsenal in what could be a key match," United manager Alex Ferguson said. "It's still an open race but Arsenal have had a great start and they're the ones we are chasing at the moment. The main thing is I know we will chase them with great fervor and determination."

Manchester Utd, haven’t beaten Arsenal at home since Feb 1st, 2005 and prior to that was August 22nd, 1999… so I don’t think much will change this weekend. Every time these two teams meet there's some sort of controversy to follow, although on this occasion there’ll be no Scholes, Keane, Henry or Viera; but I have no doubt that little ‘ol Rooney will step up to the plate to deliver… he has a reputation of losing the plot in rivalry matches, but I guess anyone who looks like Shrek would. It should be a closely contested match but the Gunners will come away with it after Rooney gets sent off.

I predict:
Arsenal 3 – 1 Manchester Utd
Scorers: Adebayor, Rooney, Rosicky, Walcott.
